CONNECTING SYNAPSES is an 8-page short comic created for the comics anthology QEQTPQE? (Quem É Que Tu Pensas Que És?) published by Colectivo Goteira, with the financial support of Criatório - creative work fund provided by Porto’s City Hall.
CONNECTING SYNAPSES follows two friends playing an MMORPG as they discuss their personal relationship to their customized online avatar, touching upon themes of gender expression, identity and non-conformity. Their conversation is juxtaposed with the mundane, absurd and at times hilarious environment of multiplayer games.
