ON LOSING MYSELF (A Leveza de me perder — PT) is a fully illustrated, 80 page graphic novel, my BA degree graduation project. It approaches the core dichotomy of intimacy and isolation through themes such as online relationships, perfectionism, expectations, transition to adulthood, among others, through the use of visual metaphors and occasionally text.
It is an exploration of the possible ways one loses themselves in the modern age told through a non-linear narrative, from the perspective of 3 distinct characters, each with their aesthetic universe and converging story arcs.
It features a mobile-only digital chapter, accessible through a QR code, depicting the moment a character disappears from the physical format of the book into the internet.
