The images above comprise an illustration series produced for the 14th Edition of UIVO! MOSTRA DA ILUSTRAÇÃO DA MAIA (Maia’s Illustration Showcase), under the theme “Imagens e Patologias” (Images and Pathologies).

These illustrations assume a critical position towards AI-generated images: highlighting the precarious life of illustrators nowadays, escaping an algorithm that consumes their work for content generation; the distortion of information beyond recognition; escapism into the fantasy of AI perfection amidst global tragedies; and the perpetuation of visual stereotypes.
